Why this blog exists

I’ve wanted a place to write for a while. Not really for an audience, mostly for me.

Writing forces me to actually understand something instead of half-getting it and moving on. If I can explain a decision in a few paragraphs, I probably understood it. This is where I work that out.

The other reason is the record. In a year I want to look back and see what I was working on and how I was thinking about it.

Most of what I write will be technical, from frontend down to the infra I self-host. I’ll focus on the reasoning behind decisions, not step-by-step commands you can look up anywhere.

I like short posts. This is one.
